fashion -Working on the stand...........

Working in twos our task was to create a garment on the stand with calico using adjectives. we had to feel and describe a natural object with our eyes closed with these words we came up with we had to work on the stand.

the words we came up with to describe the natural objects were:

round,

long,

pointy,

squigy,

bendy,

repeated,

irregular,

bumpy, and

hard

 We came up with the idea of creating shoulder pads they were very structured and rigid to represent the words hard and pointy.

 To the bottom half of the garment we added a skirt, stuffing calico with wadding and pinning it up like a puffball skirt the skirt represented the words round and squigy.

 we then cut up long srips of calico and twisted them round.We then placed them repeatedly from the top of the bust to the waist.

At the back once we had twisted and wrapped the long peices of calico around the body and tied them I decided to scrunch the rest of the long peices up at the back and pin them this created a bumpy effect.
