fishmarket.....

I did this sample of fishscales onto cotton by painting the image with image maker, placing it picture down onto the fabric..... then I put it in the heat press to set the image and got a damp sponge and rubbed away the paper until I was left with my image transfered onto the fabric. This technique though it is literal its still very effective and a quick way to print. I found out if your not carful the image will start to peal away but by adding another coat of imagemaker at the end holds the image on the fabric and also give a gloss finish...beautiful.

A fishmonger is someone who sells fish and seafood. In some countries modern supermarkets are replacing fishmongers who operate in shops or fish markets.
Fishmongers can be wholesalers or retailers, and are trained at selecting and purchasing, handling, gutting, boning, filleting, displaying, merchandising and selling their product. In many places fishmongers, like butchers, are a dying breed. With the advent of many modern ways of distributing and packaging food, supermarkets often opt for less expensive alternatives to these trained, highly skilled professionals.

                                                                          FISHMONGERS:

I have this canvas which is painted beautifully, I like how the brown paint blends dark to light.

chiffon :

The trend also talks about colous morphing into one another I like the the way the mosque reflects in the water .... this gave me an idea I experimented with ink on fabric and liked the way the ink bleeds through the fabric when dip dyed

The jamek un'nur mosque futuristic mosque.......

Looking at the kabah I saw alot of beautiful arabic text embridered in real gold all around it .... I wanted to look more into mosques to look at Islamic art and futuristic of mosques.
The door of the kabah....covered in arabic lettering from the holy quran...

The embroidry of this skirt reminded me of the embriodry done in saudi arabia on the holy kabah .......
I did some samples using embroidry thread.....

                                                              samples......

DAR TRTR is a new Kuwaiti brand established by Shaikha Salem Alqattan and Fajer Alhamthan.

samples..........

These decoration peices have holes in them which reminded me of lace which is also coming through in the future trend. Lace is made from shapes which are cut into fabric .....I experimeneted cutting our arabic lettering out of fabric and when overlaying it over a different coloured fabric it looked very effective.

This image is from a wall of a mosque I like how the beautiful shapes are formed simply by calving ....

Arabic calligraphy and Islamic art.....................

I looked more into the trend by picking out key words and researching in more dept......arabic calligraphy relates to my brand as I am looking at the abaya which originates from arabia, I definetly want to encorporate this in my design somehow...so I will be experimenting with different ways of applying it. i also want to use arabic writting in my logo.
